Heritage Woods of Moline, LLC constructed a 99-unit Supportive Living Facility (SLF) near the intersection of 53 rd Street and the John Deere Expressway in Moline, IL. Supportive Living Facilities (SLFs) are affordable assisted living developments for frail seniors. They have the characteristics of an assisted living development in terms of living environment and services provided. Through a combination of Medicaid funding support and tax beneficial financing, the rents are affordable to a broader range of frail seniors as an alternative to moving into nursing homes.
SLFs also save the State in Medicaid funding since the daily rate for SLFs is 60% of the nursing home rate. In 2006, QCREDA issued a $10,870,000 bond. The total project was $12,600,000 and created 38 new jobs.
